A little while back I posted about the Melvan being up for auction on Ebay. Seems that the final bid of $100,000 was not enough.. The reserve price was set to $150,000.
The Melvan has now been reposted starting at $50,000 with no reserve price.

NBC’s The Voice (Im not going to link to that site) had a head to head stand off between Lindsey Pavao and Lee Koch. It was a duet of sorts to Nirvana’s Heart Shaped Box. If you are brave enough you can check out a youtube clip of it here. I saw it and now feel my life is worse as a result of seeing it.
Because I don’t want to subject anyone else to seeing it, I will leave you with this instead.
Courtney Love has given the ok to ex hole band mates poetry book about Kurt Cobain.
Courtney is quoted in the Toronto Sun as saying
“I wish him well. Even more than (Nirvana rockers) Dave (Grohl) and (Krist) Novoselic, Eric was family… I just hope he didn’t write that we dated. We had sex, yes, but I don’t date.”
I am suspecting the book will not live up the drama surrounding the book, Courtney, and Erlandson…
A youtube video (or lack of video) is making some waves. Uploaded to youtube by BP2UTV on Jan 5, 2010, its just the vocal tracks of Smells Like Teen Spirit. In the last few days how ever it has seen a surge in views. No one really knows why this video is now getting a sudden surge in views, but I am guessing it has to with Kurt Cobain’s birthday just passing by last month.
The vocals are pretty amazing just on there own.

Ebay seems like the hot spot to get all your 90′s grunge limited edition and one of a kind items the past little while.. It might also be people cashing in.. Or out.. Depending how you look at things.

1972 Dodge Sportsman Royal Van, better known as the “MELVAN” Featured in many books, Cobain Unseen, Come As You Are ETC. & Many NIRVANA documentary films. This is a very unique piece of MEVINS/NIRVANA history & truly one of a kind. The KISS Mural on the side was hand drawn by Kurt Cobain using sharpie markers shoplifted from the Thriftway grocery store in Montesano Washington. (former employer of King Buzzo) This was one of the first MELVINS tour vans & was used on at least one U.S. tour. Kurt himself was often times known to drive this van to local shows, also included are two former registration’s, one signed by Roger Osborne (King Buzzo) & the second signed by former MELVINS bass player Matt Lukin ! The tags on the van apparently ran out in April 94.. The same month and year Kurt Cobain died.
